The English Sims Wiki would like to invite other language of The Sims Wiki to check out our Language Portal it will serve as a way of communicating between the many different languages of this wiki. It has a list of all the available languages, their name, founder and an approximate number of articles. It also has some helpful bits of code for inter-language linking.
We've already left a message on all the community portals of Sims Wikis, hopefully we can start using the Language Portal to bridge the gap between our languages.
Communication will be in english.
Also remember that the English Sims Wiki always links to other language Sims Wikis through our main menu to the left and on our Affiliates page.
While we have the opportunity, we would a…

|image = |caption = The new license dropdown menu. }} The Sims Wiki is proud to present a new license dropdown menu. It's never been easier to select the license and the correct category for your uploaded images. Just select the most appropriate menu item. Most types have a catch all towards the end. If you're uploading a non-Sims related image you'll need to scroll down a bit.
Any questions, suggestions and/or bugs related to this new feature should be taken to our forum.
For more information on how to properly categorize images, see our newly made customized help page: Categorizing images.

The Sims Wiki is currently in the process of creating a new feature. The new feature is a 'Did you know...' box added to the front page. The technical stuff has been sorted out, but now we need your help. Before we launch this new feature we'll need a bug list of little known facts and bits about The Sims games. If you have any interesting pieces of information or trivia, please add them to our page.

We're going to celebrate this occasion the only way we know how: Free stuff for the community. We've got some stuff up our sleeves and in our hats, but if you're a creative soul and would to create something for The Sims Wiki community, now is certainly the time. If you've created custom content, a tool, a mod, a wallpaper, a funny screenshot, ANYTHING creative for Simmers to use and haven't released it yet, we'd love to hear from you. Once we hit the 5,000 articles, all the goodies will be released on this page.
You can contact Duskey via email to send the item(s) you would like to donate for the celebration. The items will be fully attributed to the creator and you're very welcome to share them as you'd like once they're released here, but…Read more >
Did you know that The Sims Wiki is available in 16 different languages? The foundations have been laid for translating articles and for creating unique articles and communities in 15 languages other than English. The languages include French, Arabic and Chinese to name a few. You can see a complete list at our affiliates page. Not all of these language sub-domains are very developed and that's where we need YOU. Yes, you! If you're bi-lingual and don't mind lending a hand, use your time to set up inter-language links on both wikis. See Help:Interlanguage links for more information on how to do that. You can also merely go to the other language wiki and start making articles and help build a community.
The English Sims Wiki, links to all other…

Hello there wikians.
Here's a news update on what's happening around this wiki.
The Sims 3: Late Night was announced, check it out as new info is added whenever a new interview with the developers is discovered. If you want to help improve the page, make sure you cite your references. We don't want any loose rumors; that's what this page is all about.
Some creative minds have been at work and brought you some new userboxes to pimp out your userpage. It's mainly country userboxes so show your flag and let the community know from where you hail. (Spain is just an example, this post is actually from Wikistan).
Here's one to let everyone in the community know that they may find you in The Sims Wiki IRC channel. That's right, we have one of those. C…
